New Silent Hill ‘White Hunter’ Art!

Posted on by H.B. Duran

Somewhere in an alternate Silent Hill dimension there lives a White Hunter; slaying on the rooftops of our abandoned town. Masahiro Ito’s white Pyramid Head has graced the cover of the Japanese Silent Hill: Zero soundtrack and its own comic. Now, Ito has unveiled a new painting created thanks to an official Silent Hill contest in Japan.

Silent Hill White Hunter

Those who’ve played Silent Hill: Book of Memories will recognize White Hunter as the Pyramid Head – Light Class. (Although he wields the Great Knife and not White Hunter’s normal weapon…err…whatever that is.)

Japanese Hill Heads were asked to vote for their favorite enemy in Silent Hill: Book of Memories by responding on the official Facebook and Twitter.

“It’s a popularity voting system,” Masahiro Ito told us over Twitter. “The 3 of them who voted for PH are going to get it.”

The contest ended February 22, 2013 and was only open to residents of Japan. We’ve asked Ito what the three winners will receive and will update this article when we know. In the meantime, enjoy the new art! Thanks, as always to Masahiro Ito for reaching out to us with news and behind the scenes awesome-sauce.

UPDATE: Masahiro Ito created the above-referenced design for celebrated sculptor, “Headlong,” aka Shinya Akao. The three lucky winners of this contest will each receive a statue! LUCKY!

Silent Hill: Book of Memories receives its first DLC on March 19th. Keep it here as new information develops!
